The Wyoming State Marching Band Festival is the finale event for Marching Bands in the State of Wyoming. This all day event features 22 bands from across the State of Wyoming performing for professional judges for a festival rating. This hybrid event will feature two divisions for bands. The SCHOLASTIC DIVISION where bands can take more of a festival approach, where bands are given a festival rating of Superior, Excellent, or Good OR bands can register for the OPEN DIVISION where bands will compete for a 3A or 4A State Championship and State Ranking. Caption Awards are awarded in the areas of Percussion, Auxiliary, Winds, Music, and Marching. The night ends with an on field award retreat and trophies presented by the Wyoming High School Activities Association. This year we welcome back or very special guests, the University of Wyoming “Western Thunder Marching Band” under the direction of Dr. Joe Carver.
