Introducing AMPLIFY, a new high school student track at the 2027 Wyoming Music Conference in Evanston.
What is the AMPLIFY High School Track?
- AMPLIFY gives students their own conference experience, with sessions designed for high school musicians.
- WMEA staff will guide and supervise students throughout the day so teachers can attend their own conference sessions.
- Students attend only AMPLIFY sessions, not teacher sessions.
- The $50 student registration fee includes AMPLIFY sessions, the opening night concert, Monday’s Student Banquet, and Tuesday’s All-State Gala Concert.
What will the students learn?
- Sessions focus on leadership, peer coaching, practice skills, and college and career opportunities.
- Presenters include state and national music education leaders such as Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, Tim Cox, and Dr. Peter Boonshaft.
Who should attend AMPLIFY?
- Wyoming high school music students, including ensemble leaders, section leaders, and advanced musicians.
- All students must attend with their school and a teacher; students may not attend independently.
- Students who did not audition for All-State or were not selected are welcome.
- Students selected for All-State Honor Ensembles cannot participate in AMPLIFY.
