Wyoming Arts Council Virtual Arts Summit 2021

November 1 - November 5

WAC’s Arts Summit Save the Date/
Governor’s Arts Awards Deadline

Plans for a virtual 2021 Wyoming Arts Summit are underway, according to the Wyoming Arts Council.  The Summit will take place November 1-5, 2021 and is an opportunity for Wyoming’s creative individuals to come together online, to learn from one another, and to empower the state’s creative sector.

The theme for the Arts Summit is “Connecting Through the Arts.”  Keynote speakers include Beth Kanter, Trainer, Facilitator, & Author and Aaron P. Dworkin, Social Entrepreneur, Filmmaker, Performing Artist, Philanthropist and Professor.

Also from the WAC, the nomination deadline for the 2021 Governor’s Arts Awards is fast-approaching. According to the WAC’s GAA criteria, any Wyoming citizen, organization, business or community may be nominated for a Governor’s Art Award. Noted accomplishments should reflect substantial contributions, made in Wyoming, that exemplify a long-term commitment to the arts. Special consideration will be given to nominees whose arts service is statewide.

Digital PDF nominations are required and must be emailed no later than Oct. 6, 2021 to Brittany Howell. You can find the full nomination criteria here.
